8.2 Troubleshooting the Accu-Chek Aviva Combo Meter

Display Shows Possible Cause(s) Possible Solution(s)

The display is blank

or the meter will

not turn on.

j Batteries are dead. j Install new batteries. See Chapter 7, “Care and

Maintenance.”

j Display is damaged. j Contact Roche.

j Meter is defective. j Contact Roche.

j Extreme temperature – the

temperature is outside the

meter operating range.

j Move the meter to an area with proper temperature.

Wait ﬁve minutes before turning on the meter. Do

not artiﬁcially heat or cool the meter.

Bluetooth icon

ﬂashing

j Communication ended due to

a button press on the pump.

j Check the pump and continue operation of the

pump manually.

j Ensure the pump has Bluetooth wireless technology

turned on.

j Meter and pump are outside

of communication range.

j Ensure pump is within communication range.
